The Honeymoon

We saw Avenue Q in Las Vegas and we absolutely loved it! I'm sitting at work right now humming -

What do you do with a B.A. in English,
What is my life going to be?
Four years of college and plenty of knowledge,
Have earned me this useless degree.

How we met

Richard was a poor boy roaming the streets of France, his dreams of an art career fading like his sidewalk drawing in front of the Champs-Elysees. A sassy American woman felt pity on him and brought into the cafe for a cocoa and croissants.

Why did I keep my maiden name?

Why don't more women keep their maiden name is my question. Only about 30 percent of women choose to keep their own name and since I've enjoyed being in the minority most of my life (at least when it comes to politics and social issues), I thought I would continue marching to the beat of my own drum. I think of myself as a Maddux and that's what I will continue to be. I love Richard and one of the reasons I do is because he's cool with most of what I do.

A date Richard better remember! :)
On February 25, 2006, Richard and I entered into an official marriage. When we originally decided to get married, I didn't think it would make any difference but my goodness what a difference a piece of paper makes! Feel free to peruse the site, check out the photos, read our story, and look at what's going to happen in the always exciting world of foster-maddux.
